Double trouble

Sometimes I joke that I co-founded two startups in 2020: Compa, and my first daughter.

Almost exactly two years ago I wrote about what it was like juggling both. Well, for the past few weeks, I’ve been re-living the magic all over again.

On February 24th, my second daughter was born.

Startups and newborns can seem similar: a roller coaster of sleepless nights, deep fulfillment, frustration, and sweet victories.

Mostly I’ve found that when my world gets small — when I tune out the news and social media and focus on growing my family and company — my days are filled with meaning, and my creativity flourishes.

Focusing on 10 things is really just focusing on nothing. Identify your “most important thing” and make sure you’re committing the necessary time and energy towards it. Focus is a superpower of the modern era.
